I need to take some new pictures for our giveaways! Lol
Anyway, tomorrow is our Thinking Tree journal giveaway! I am so excited to show you another journal, they are all so awesome! I just got a new shipment in and I was so excited to see some new ones that I have wanted to show you and giveaway! Also, make sure to keep an eye out for all of my giveaways. I will be having at least one Thinking Tree giveaway a month and hopefully at least one other product a month as well. I know I have a Grammar Galaxy giveaway coming up and I think a KidArtLit subscription giveaway, but still waiting on clarification. So, back to tomorrow. I will be going live on our Facebook page at 12:00 noon EASTERN time to show you the journal. I will then leave the post up for 24 hours for everyone to see and make comments or ask questions. Remember making comments or asking questions is how you are entered. After the 24 hours are up, I will use a random comment selector to choose the winner. I will post the winners name in the comments and you will have 24 hours to contact me. You do need to be in the USA to win. I would also love it if the winner posted a picture of yourself or your child or just the journal on my Facebook page when you receive it. I look forward to tomorrow! See ya then! Good Morning! I hope your week is going well. Ours has been good and a little rough at the same time. The rough part wasn’t that bad, just kiddos not wanting to do chores or some school work I wanted them to complete.
We had a fun trip to a local farm. They boys learned more about planting and growing pumpkins. They got to feed some ponies, goats and a donkey. We went through a straw and a corn maze. Then they took us out to the pumpkin patch by way of a hay ride. A little bumpy, but lots of fun. Lol After we rode on the hay ride back to the farm’s store we enjoyed some cider slushies. It was a beautiful day too. The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect.
What have you all been up to this week? Anything new and fun, or has it been a rough week?
Just to let you know, we will be having our next Thinking Tree Journal giveaway this Friday! I will let you know the time soon! I will also be scheduling the Grammar Galaxy Review and the KidArtLit review soon. I am still waiting on some clarification on some things. I think you guys are going to love all of these products! Let me know if there is a product you would like me to check out for you and I will see if I can do a review for you. I just found a neat product that is like legos, but that shows up on a tablet as you connect them. I have contacted them and am hoping to get to do a review and at least a coupon code if not a giveaway! So, let me know if you have any thoughts! I hope you all have a fun week! Talk to you later!
Our KidArtLit box came today! We will be doing the live review on our Facebook page as soon as we get the giveawAy and coupons figured out! I am hoping to have it sometime next week! I will keep you all posted! I hope you are having a great day!
No matter your spouse, kids, homeschooling, things happening in the world or just life in general are getting to you, if we lean on Him, we can not be shaken. We have the peace of knowing that He is our firm foundation and He will always take care of us. Find rest and peace in Him. Try to remember to take some time everyday and thank Him even for the difficult things….once you start doing that…they may not seem so difficult. I hope you have a great day! Let me know if there is anything I can add to my prayers for you all! Talk to ya later! Mandy

Well, we went for a goal of 50 new followers and we did pretty good, but didn’t quite make it. I truly appreciate all of you sharing my blog and I hope you continue to enjoy our little adventure in homeschooling. I hope I encourage you all and help you realize you are not alone especially during the difficult times! We are here for each other to listen and if wanted, give advice.
Just so you know, I will be having at least one giveaway in November and December…it is looking like I will have some more for the new year, but I don’t want to let you in on anything just yet! You gotta stick with me and keep an eye out! Lol I will also be doing some live reviews on some of the other things we use in our homeschool….I may not have a giveaway, but I know just seeing a curriculum before you choose to buy it is helpful. I’ll let you all go…..I can’t wait til this evening! My mom is bringing me a chocolate peanut butter cake for my birthday! My mouth is already watering! Lol Have a great day everyone! Mandy
Hump day already! I swear the older I get the faster time seems to go. Anyway, I decided to make Wednesday’s our “What’s Up Wednesday” post. Where we share what we have been up to for the week and where you can share how your week has been going. It can be about hhomeschooling, anything you want to brag about or get off your chest. So, without further adue….our first, What’s Up Wednesday!
So, I’m not going to lie….this week has been a llittle frustrating. Nothing major just the boys not wanting to do chores or school work or go to bed. Like any normal kid, right?
Don’t get me wrong, we have had a lot of good times too. WH is really into classical music from around the world. We have been listening to it during school. It distracts him a little, but I think the cultural exposure is a huge positive. He is also really starting to understand math. I think using the Thinking Tree journals and Life of Fred together are helping him grasp things.
LH is taking off with his reading ….he is reading books to his younger brother and starting to gain a lot of confidence because of that.
WYH, now he is a different story and we are still trying to use all kinds of things to help him learn. He is a hands on learner. He doesn’t like to sit down and write in journals or read a book. He has enjoyed listening to The Mouse and the Motorcycle book at night. Teach your monster to read has become a God send. He is starting to read and doesn’t even realize it! He loves building so I usually have build some kind of structure with blocks too. This week I have slacked a little with that though.
I have been trying to work on my blog and learn how to make it better for all of you. It really is a learning curve, but I’m getting there. I appreciate all of you joining me for this ride! Talk to ya later, Mandy
Update on possible birthday giveaway giveaway: we have gotten several more followers and we are getting close to our goal of 50 new followers! We still need 15 more by tomorrow morning! If we get there by 9:30 am Eastern, we will do the extra Thinking Tree review and giveaway! So, keep sharing and sharing! We are so close to the goal! I really want to give something away! Also, I am going to do it a little different. I will do the live review, but to make sure we give working mamas and others time to see it and comment, I won’t announce a winner until Friday morning! Have a great day!
Hey guys, I know I have posted a lot of stuff today and I promise this will be the last one.
So many kids these days do not know basic life skills. Even employers are struggling to find young people with the basics they need for a job. Check out Skill Trek! It is a really neat company that has ekits and physical kits you can order to help cover a ton of basic life skills. We all try to cover what we know…but we can’t know or remember to teach everything. Skill Trek is a great company that was started by a couple that saw a need and wanted to help fill it. Here is the link, check it out! Share with anyone you think it might help…even adults!
