Hi guys! I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend. We enjoyed our time together. Finally a weekend that we didn’t have anything planned.
I wanted to share WH’s brownies he made from the Yum-Schooling cookbook. He did a really great job and they tasted so good! This is only the second recipe/lesson he has completed out of his cooking journal, but I am already seeing learning and improving in his ,following instructions skills. A lot of times he wants to skip around and do whatever it is, in his order…which sometimes is ok and other times not so ok. Lol He is realizing that the steps are important. He did make one mistake, he put the cocoa in with the butter and sugar instead of with the flour. I told him this time he was lucky, that mistake should notcl cause you a problem….but if it would have been the flour it could have really messed you up. He really likes the Yum-schooling book and he looks forward to every Thursday when he gets to use it. He didn’t even complain about answering the questions this time! Lol
I love watching my children grow and learn. Yes, it can be VERY trying and you just want to scream, but it is such a gift and honor to be their mother. Every day I try to be better. I try to yell less, be more patient, be more loving. I fail a lot, but I will never keep trying to be the best mom I can be. I do have times where I get down on myself or feel like the worst mom in the world, but then one of my boys comes up to me and gives me a hug and a kiss and I know I must be doing some things right. So, no matter what, even on days where you are ready to throw in the towel and send them to school, remember the reason you chose to homeschool, look at your children or child and take it minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. You got this! If you need support, I am here to listen. Post a comment and I and I’m sure the other homeschool mom’s that follow my blog will encourage you. I am also going to start praying everyday for everyone that follows my blog. I want you to be encouraged and to get to a place where you know you can do this and so can your kiddo. I hope you all have a great day and that your week is fun and any break throughs that you are waiting for will start to have some light shining through! Talk to you later! Mandy I also wanted to make sure you all know. I post links to websites in my resources page. So, if you want to check something out that I talk about you can find them there. See ya!
